About Jackee

Hello!Jackee Ging, Style Truck Owner, Pittsburgh Boutique of the Year

I am the driver, owner, buyer, merchandiser and party planner!  My name is Jackee and my truck is called Cookie!

The idea or concept of Style Truck actually came from an August 2012 In Style Magazine article. As soon as I saw it I thought it was such a brilliant idea and knew Pittsburgh had to have one!

Having been in marketing/business development for almost 20 years, I suddenly found myself writing a business plan for myself, instead of someone else! I took a chance and became one of the first vendors in the first Pittsburgh Holiday Market and used this as a chance to plant the seeds and do some marketing research and branding.  While doing this, I was ordering inventory for the next season and buying a truck!

“Pimping” out the truck took much longer than planned.  There were many details to consider and obstacles to overcome.  Similar to any home improvement, every step took more time than anticipated.  We were ready for the road in June 2013 and became Pittsburgh’s first mobile boutique!

The clothing selected for the Truck is for the woman on the go. There really isn’t an age demographic.  I have traveled a lot for work and for plesure and appreciate items that can go day to night.  I have found some very interesting brands that support causes and are supportive of the environment.  I carry many American made brands. I believe in supporting other local businesses as much as possible and you will always find some jewelry or other accessories designed by local artists in the Truck!

When not a truck driver, I can be found walking dogs or following a Pittsburgh sports team, sometimes both at the same time.

I never thought I’d say, “I’m going out in my truck” or ever dreamed I’d be able to change a spark plug.  I guess it is good to get out of your comfort zone.

Feel free to connect with me!
